I imagine Willy Wanka envisioned a similar idea...only with less magma and more chocolate

Magma and forts go together like dwarves and beer. This is known. And yeah, I'm sure we've all seen or heard about forts build next to lava...or above lava...

What about in lava?

Still not enough? What if the entire fort was made of glass?

And had magma "water"falls?

Pictured here is the dining room submerged in lava. Food is obviously never cold!

LLer Loki is the brain child behind this one.

You can find the fort at DFMA here. I urge you to check out the various interests and contemplate life deep in the magma. He's done a pretty nice job at explaining the fort and how it was made. So if you're an aspiring engineer and you have some extra sand and magma lying around...I think you know what your next project should be.

  1. It seems a fittingly dwarven thing to do, to create epic feats of engineering just to show that they can.

I bet they're all nonchalant and casual about it to guests, too.

"What, are ye scared of a little hot rock? Dinnae fear, boyo, it's Dwarven engineering..." *pounds fist on glass wall to prove point, causing guest to jump*
